How to Manage Google Fi through Google Voice

Google Fi, known for its flexible pay-as-you-go and unlimited data plans, is a long-celebrated cell service carrier. Until recently, your Google Fi account may seemed to butt heads with Google Voice, a VOIP solution for consumers and enterprises. Users had to work around the inability to host a Google Fi and Google Voice number on the same accounts. We’re glad to share that this is no longer the case—Google has married these two telephony favorites, with Google Voice now designed for Fi (and vice versa).

Google’s telecommunication service, Google Fi, is now interoperable with Google Voice! This means that your separate Google Fi and Voice numbers can share one account. After setting up Google Voice call forwarding, you will receive calls in one centralized location.

How to set up call forwarding in Google Fi/Voice:

  1. Open the Google Fi website or app .

  2. Click the Account tab.

  3. Under Phone settings, select Call forwarding.

  4. Click Add or edit a number.

  5. Input your Google Voice number.

  6. Follow the onscreen instructions to verify the number.

The ability to manage Google Fi calls through Google Voice can be especially helpful if you have separate personal and professional phone numbers and want to avoid the hassle of managing them separately. Regardless of your needs, enjoy managing your Google Fi account and Google Voice account together!
